Located in Apache Junction, Arizona our family-owned farm offers a warm and welcoming atmosphere where visitors can connect with a variety of friendly animals and enjoy the simple pleasures of nature.
Come visit our gentle ponies ready for an adventure, curious goats, cuddly bunnies, fluffy sheep, and more. Our animals are loved and well cared for which makes them ready to bring smiles to your day! We believe in hands-on learning and the magic of spending time with animals, whether it’s feeding, petting, or taking a ride.

Our Story
Family Owned Mini-Farm & Petting Zoo
From Backyard Buddies to The Dream Team with a Wild Side! What started as two neighboring families caring for their own small collections of farm animals quickly grew into something truly special. As next-door neighbors and best friends, we shared not only fences but also a love for animals and a deep sense of community.
Over time, our goats, chickens, ponies, and bunnies became a gathering spot for curious kids, visiting friends, and neighbors who wanted to spend time around animals. We realized we had something worth sharing—so we joined forces, combined our furry (and feathered!) families, and opened our gates to the public.
That’s how Mak's Mini Farm was born: a community-rooted petting zoo and pony ride experience built on friendship, family, and the simple joy of connecting people with animals.
Today, our petting zoo is a place where children laugh, families bond, and neighbors come together. So if you want to enjoy a peaceful day with the animals, we’re proud to welcome you into our shared backyard and make it your happy place now too!
Meet The Crew
Staci -
Owner/ Operator/Animal Whisperer
Staci brings a dose of sunshine to everything she does. As one of the passionate founders of Mak's Mini Farm, she’s the friendly face you'll often see greeting guests, sharing animal fun facts, or helping little ones feel confident on their very first pony ride. With a natural gift for connecting with both people and animals, Staci is the heart and soul of our farm.
Her warm, outgoing nature helps create the welcoming, family-friendly atmosphere that makes our petting zoo feel like home. Beyond her people skills, Staci is also deeply involved in the day-to-day care of the animals. She knows each one by name and personality, and they know her as a gentle, trusted presence. Staci's goal? To create a place where families feel joy, animals feel safe, and the community feels connected. And with her at the helm, that mission is in very good hands. She believes that kindness, curiosity, and a little bit of dirt under your boots are what life’s all about—and she can’t wait to share that joy with you.
With a background in education and animal care, Becky has a heart for both teaching and nurturing. She’s a natural with kids, always ready to answer questions, share fun facts about our animals, and make sure every guest leaves with a smile (and probably a little hay on their shoes). From designing colorful flyers to calming baby goats, Becky brings her energy, warmth, and love for animals into every corner of the zoo. She believes in creating meaningful, educational, and joy-filled experiences for families—and it shows in everything she does.
When she’s not planning the next big event or cuddling with a bunny, you’ll likely find her in the barn with a coffee in one hand and a lesson idea in the other.
Born and raised in Arizona, Becky brings a perfect mix of creativity, compassion, and organization to Mak's Mini Farm. As a co-owner, marketing specialist, and event coordinator, she’s the mastermind behind our seasonal celebrations, birthday parties, and community outreach—but her talents don’t stop there.

Kurtis always brings hands-on energy and a “let’s make it happen” attitude to everything he does. Whether he’s building new enclosures, feeding the animals, or greeting guests with a big smile, Kurtis makes sure the zoo runs like a well-oiled (and joy-filled) machine. He’s a firm believer that fresh air, friendly animals, and a little bit of dirt are good for the soul—and he’s excited to share that experience with every visitor who walks through the gate.
Kurtis has always had a deep love for the outdoors, animals, and a good adventure. He wears many hats at Mak's Mini Farm: Owner, operator, project manager, and the guy who’s always cracking a joke while fixing a fence or leading a pony parade.

Junior Crew Member & The Heart Behind Our Name
Kenzi is new to the Apache Junction community and proud to call this farm home, she is the youngest member of our team at just 14 years old—but don’t let her age fool you. With a deep love for animals and big dreams for the future, she’s the inspiration behind our business name and a big part of why this adventure began.
From bottle-feeding baby goats to helping out with pony rides and greeting guests with a bright smile, Kenzi brings energy, kindness, and a whole lot of heart to the farm every single day. Her passion for animals and natural leadership have been part of our story since day one. She dreams of one day fully owning and operating the farm, and we have no doubt she’ll make it happen. With her hard work, caring spirit, and love for what we do, Kenzi is not only a vital part of the present—she’s a big part of our future, too.
Watch out world—she’s just getting started! 🐴💫
